Berwick Hills Primary School

Berwick Hills Primary School received funding from CSI in July 2024 to purchase VEXIQ robotics kits to teach Year Five children the fundamentals of robotics through competition. The children will benefit from the experience and job roles this offers. The plan is to have different teams of children that will fulfil a job role through their team.

The CSI supports the purchase of the VEX IQ Classroom Bundles, the school will fund registration and travel to allow the school’s winning team to compete in a Northeast regional event for the next five years.

The benefits of this project will be raising aspirations of children through giving them experiences they would never usually have.  The children will apply skills they have learned in STEM subjects to a real-life context, and this will raise the profile of STEM across the school and local community.

Project Impact: Report to follow in 2025
